News & Announcements
It's hard to believe that we will be closing out 2024 and getting ready to welcome 2025! I am incredibly proud of the work our students and teachers do each day. Being the principal at Loring brings me immense joy! School will reopen on Thursday, January 2nd.
I can't believe it is already December and we will be on winter break in 10 school days! This newsletter contains some happenings from the end of November. As you can see, we continue to have lots of fun while doing lots of learning throughout the building.
Speaking of gratitude and being thankful, I wanted to share how thankful I am about our
Loring Community for all the ways we work together to support our students. It's easy to teach your child to practice gratitude when you do it yourself. Look for everyday chances to mention how thankful you are for things like the natural world, your community, friends, helpers, or the gift of time together. You can also take chances to express thanks to other people for the help they give to you or your community.
We have had a busy few weeks here at Loring! Last weekend was our annual Pumpkin Walk! I went on Sunday and enjoyed all of the creative pumpkins with my family.
Fall conferences will be starting soon. Please make sure to sign up with your classroom teacher. Family conferences are an opportunity to help strengthen relationships with individual families and support student learning.
Today we had our first Field Trip of the year! Our 4th graders went to the Food Pantry. They had a great time learning about the Food Pantry and how our monthly food drives help and support families in our community.
