News & Announcements
December has been a wonderfully busy and fun month at Loring, filled with learning, celebration, and community. As we head into the break, I hope you all enjoy a wonderful school vacation and find time to relax, recharge, and spend time with friends and family.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on January 5. Wishing you a safe, joyful, and restful break!
Welcome to December! As we transition into the colder months, we will continue to get outside for recess as much as possible. Fresh air and movement are important parts of our day, even when the temperature drops.
Please be sure your child comes to school with appropriate winter gear each day— including a warm jacket, snow pants, boots, gloves or mittens, and a hat. Having the right clothing helps ensure students can play comfortably and safely outdoors.
Thank you for your support in helping our students enjoy the winter season!
Last Thursday, we had a former Marine, Gui Barosso, visit Ms. D's kindergarten class to read the book, Soldier Bear, to the students. Ms. Barosso is now a Captain with the Framingham Fire Department.
Today we celebrated our annual Kindergarten Fall Festival! A big thank you to all the volunteers who joined us to make the day so special for our students. It was such a fun time for everyone!
I’ve included a few photos from the event — I didn’t capture many because I was too busy joining in on the fun! The group photo shows all of us wearing our festive T-shirts, designed by the one and only Ms. Lavigne. Thank you for helping us look the part and making the day even more memorable!
The school year continues to be a strong and positive one for our Pawsome School Community. Classrooms are filled with energy and curiosity as students engage in meaningful learning experiences, build new skills, and develop positive relationships with their peers. Our dedicated teachers and staff are working diligently to provide high-quality instruction that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development. We are deeply grateful to our families for their continued partnership and involvement. Your support plays an essential role in helping our school community thrive and ensuring every student feels valued, safe, and inspired to learn.
It was wonderful to see so many of our families at Back to School Night last week. Our educators truly value the chance to share their classroom communities with you.
Looking ahead, families will be invited to participate in teacher conferences next month, this a valuable opportunity to learn more specifically about your child’s progress and experiences.
We are back in the full swing of things here at Loring, and it already feels like a wonderful start to the school year! Today, we kicked off our first Food Pantry collection. A big thank you to Ms. Nikolich’s class and our amazing volunteers for making it such a success. A few pictures from our sports day are below.
We are ready and so excited to welcome back our pawsome students TOMORROW! Whether you are new to Loring or have been with us for years, you will find lots of information related to the start of the school year in this newsletter.

Happy Summer! I hope your family has been having a nice summer. My family has been able to have a nice balance of relaxation and excitement! We have spent a lot of time in our pool on these hot days and my son has been doing his summer reading with our puppy Ziggy.
It was great to see everyone yesterday! If you were unable to make the Kindergarten Orientation, please plan to join us for the New to Sudbury Orientation on August 21 at 11:00 a.m.
