Recess

Children should be exposed to fresh air and exercise regularly. Time spent outdoors allows students an opportunity to engage in activities that allow them to relax the structure of the classroom for a bit.

At Loring we will get outside for recess as much as possible, so please send your child to school with appropriate clothing for an outdoor recess (coats, gloves, hats, snow pants/boots). When deciding if we will go outside, we take into account the real feel temperature and conditions. We reference the Child Care Weather Watch chart and our judgment when making a daily decision. If it is safe for students, we will go outside for recess.
