Food Pantry

The Loring community has been a big contributor to the Sudbury Food Pantry for several years. Fourth and fifth grades coordinate the monthly school-wide food collections. This drive provides large quantities of food for families in need. Bringing in food is optional. The generosity of the students and families makes it possible for the Pantry to provide for both Sudbury and non-Sudbury residents alike. Often there is a theme (i.e. hat day) associated with each food drive to build enthusiasm. Many classes incorporate the drive into their curriculum for that day (i.e. taking inventory of food items, categorizing, and charting).
